Diarrhea After Taking Metformin. Can I Take Glipzide?

my dr prescribe for me metformin and it gave me diarrhea . i was taking before this medication glipized , lantus 10 units and victoza . he says that there is nothing else he can give me except this one to keep my blood sugar level steady or from spiking up . What do recomend or do you think i should go back to the glipzide ?

Have you tried taking the Metformin with meals?This would help reduce the GI irritation.Metformin is a good and safe drug,if you can tolerate it .It would be a good addition to your antidiabetic drugs.
