Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Cervical spine spurs (osteophytes) are indeed a restricting and frustrating condition. Main treatment consists of surgery, but there do exist non-surgical methods of treatment. These include: physical therapy and pain relieving medications.

However if the pain is debilitating caused by some form of nerve compression or if the condition leads to severe restrictions in movements and stiffness, then surgery should be considered. In the medical world today, there are options of laser spine surgery, but this procedure is highly invasive and much more expensive. But, if this is an option you could consider, this would be the best way to relieve yourself of these symptoms.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
