Diagnosed With Orthostatic Intolerance, Feeling Pressure In Head, Fatigued. Causes ?

My daughter was diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance after a tilt table test where at 85 degrees, her BP dropped to 33 after 15 minutes. She was taking a lot of salt tablets, but after feeling better has weaned off some. Tonight, she is feeling pressure in her head and extreme fatigue . Her blood pressure is 128/66 with a pulse of 89. Could that be the cause? The systolic and diastolic numbers seem further apart than normal.

dear mother,

thanks for your concerns. although changes in blood pressure can cause these non specific symptoms, the vital signs you are reporting are within normal limits though; nevertheless, she may need to go back on a higher dose of fluids and salt tablets, along perhaps with compression stockings

Yours truly
