Diagnosed With Hematoma As Per The Angiogram Result

I had an angiogram on Tuesday for PAD in leg. I have a little swelling and bleeding. We to emergency room Saturday night and after several tests was diagnosed with hymatoma (sp?) I have little bit of bleeding but after applying pressure stops. If I get up and busy again I get a wee bit of bleeding again.

Hi Welcome to Health care magic.
I understand your query and concern.
You seem to have prolonged bleed with hematoma formation. This can be a complication in few individuals with angiogram. Its important that you have a colour doppler scan immediately. If any leak or clot is suspected or confirmed, its important that surgical exploration is done and hematoma is drained and repaired.Drug like ethamsylate/EACA can be used to control the bleed.Monitoring of blood pressure is important to avoid hypotension.
Bleeding and swelling will soon subside with above measures.
Consult an expert cardiologist and a vascular surgeon for further help.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
