Diagnosed For Systemic Yeast, Has Become Chronic, Unable To Control With Candida Diet

Hi, my name is Ann Rosenbaum. I have been diagnosed with a severe case of systemic yeast by Dr Trowbridge, who wrote the Yeast Connection many years ago. It has become cronic, where I am no longer able to control it with a candida diet. He told me that I had the worst case of candida he has ever seen. I do not have aids. A response would be appreciated. I would like to see a specialist and I don't have health insurance. I live in Plantersville Texas
Yours truly

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Systemic candida infection is caused by severe immunocompromise as candida is an opportunistic fungus which causes infection only when the persons immunity is very low. The treatment options for systemic candidiasis is Amphotericin B but not preferred as there are many side effects and this drug levels has to be monitored constantly. Instead Fluconazole is used now adays. Get in touch with your treating doctor for a prescription of appropriate antifungals. Your immunity levels can be boosted by healthy diet, vitamin supplements and some form of regular exercise.
Thanks.
