Diagnosed Hashimoto. Taking Cytomel, Armour Thyroid. Feeling Lethargic, Losing Hair. Can Increase Dose Of Which Medicine?

Have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's/Hypothyroid for abt. 5 years. Currently taking 1-Cytomel-5 mcg , 1- Armour thyroid, 90MG, daily. Changed from Levoxyl because of recall 1 1/2 months ago so am trying Armour. Feel lethargic, losing lots of hair, unable to do too much physical activity without being exhausted the next day. Unable to accomplish much. Can't think straight. Just got my lab results in and my Doc is out of town for 2 weeks. I want to increase my dose of one of these. Which one should I increase and by how much? I will start w/ sm increments but need to change something ASAP. My labs. T3, Free 3.3, T4 Free 0.89, TSH High Sensitivity 0.013. I'm female, age 52, Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
You are suffering from Hypothyroidism which is autoimmune type(Hashimoto's) and taking supplement Thyroxine, I presume regularly.

Your latest result are with in normal range and TSH is also low.
You have some symptoms which may suggest that the dose is less but I would suggest not to change the dose by yourself.

Please continue to take your regular dose and visit your Doctor and get any adjustment in the dose only after consultation with Physician.

In your case other vitamin and supplements may be required.

Your doctor knows best.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
