Hello,
Stage 3 CKD is eGFR between 30 and 60.
Your doctor is right that dietary precautions are to be adopted.
Keep monitoring renal functions regularly.
The following are general dietary guidelines:

...Decreasing protein intake may slow the progression of chronic kidney disease
....Salt restriction to be limited from 2to 4grams a day to avoid fluid retention and help control high blood pressure.
....Restriction of Fluid intake
... Potassium restriction. Examples of foods high in potassium include bananas, oranges, nuts, avocados, and potatoes.
....Phosphorus restriction: Decreasing phosphorus intake is recommended to protect bones. Eggs, beans, cola drinks, and dairy products are examples of foods high in phosphorus.
 control blood pressure and/or diabetes
stop smoking
lose excess weight.
Avoid pain killers
Herbal preparations.
Get vaccinated for influenza and pneumococcal vaccine.
Thanks
