Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are an athlete so let me explain what is Right Bundle Branch Block ( R B B B ).
I am sorry to say ,but I will try to explain you as,
A defect in the electrical conduction system of the heart , characterized by the IMPAIRED transmission or absence of transmission of electric impulses from the atrioventricular ( A V ) node, bundle of His to the right ventricle.
Note down please the block may be COMPLETE or INCOMPLETE and may bbe caused by a lesion in the right bundle branch or a small focal lesion in the A V bundle.
In the young below 40years associated with right ventricular Hypertrophy.
In the older individuals, R B B B is commonly caused by coronary artery disease. A complete R B B B commonly occurs after certain surgical process.
In my opinion you don't have complete R B B B , but may have partial so no treatment required , if any discomfort get a treatment . Good luck. Dr,HET
