Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter jumped off a toy yesterday and I could tell from her fall that she landed wrong on her foot - more on the side than the bottom. She cried for awhile but then got up to play. After a little while she said it was hurting again started to limp. It has been about 24 hours she still isn't putting full pressure on the foot and complains that it hurs - there is no swelling. When she does walk there is a limp. She is 4 years old. Should I take her in or see how she is later today?
ehllo,
there coulf be a fracture or a dislocation by the history. However this can be ascertained only after a complete examination of the foot with x ray. I would advise you to get a AP and later view of the affected foot and consult a orthopedician for the same. In the mean time avoid walking or runnin. Rest the foot with a pillow below it. Do not massage the foot. I hope i have answerd your query. Take care
