Cyst Below Eyebrows, Swollen Forehead And Nose, Consistent Headaches. Cause?
I have a cyst between my eyebrows. Has been there for about 5 years and never bothered me. I woke up 3 days ago to a swollen forehead and left side of the nose. After taking ibuprofen the swelling reduced to a huge boil where the cyst would be. I went to the GP today and got some augmentin to take but the swelling seems to have been increasing throughout the day and getting more painful. I also have been suffering with headaches for about a year. Not normally that bad but the last few months about once a month I get a headache that is so bad it just make me shut down. I had to sleep in the car last week because I became so dizzy the road was moving around me.
hi, thank you for your query the boil is an infection of hair follicles or oil gland... Augumentin is a good antibiotic with wide range coverage.. kindly continue antibiotic till the course is completed.. for pain you can use any analgesic with serratiopeptidase..it will help reduce the swelling.. kindly do not try to pick or burst the boil as it will only lead to spread of infection..
for future reference for prevention of boils in future -- 1. showers are better than tub baths 2.dont share your towels 3.dont share facial cosmetics 4.try to use antiseptic handwash and gels
regarding your headache your complaints point towards migrane.. for symptomatic relied you can take paracetamol for headache and anti emitic if you experience any vomitting.for further complaints .your GP can prescribe specific drugs. thank you wishing you good health
