Curvature In Penis Post Occurrence Of Lump On Penis, No Pain. Any Thoughts?

My husband recently developed a curve, or bend in his penis . Months before this occured he had a lump form on his penis, which he had checked out and was told it was probably nothing, a cyst maybe, then the curve occured. He has no pain, or any problems at all with this. I think we were just concerned that it happened so quickly. Any thoughts

Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
What you have described is classical of Peyronie's disease. This bend or curvature of the penis occurs following scar tissue formation in the body of the penis after chronic inflammation in one of the layers of the penis known as tunica. Some people have resolution of their curvatures, in others it might increase. Vitamin E is advocated in the initial stages and colchicine may be added later on. Surgical therapy might be considered later on to correct the curvature. This is however, a harmless condition.
