Hi. My doctor wanted me to get my Thyroid checked, but after looking at the signs and symptoms, only a few are what I actually experience. One other thing is that I am always tired. No matter how much sleep or rest, I m always tired. Is this also a symptom of a possibe a Thyroid probllem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello, as your doctor told you yes it could be because of thyroid problem. Feeling of lethargy is seen commonly in hypothyroidism ie. decreased thyroid hormones. But there are other symptoms such as unexplained weight gain or loss of appetite. So i would suggest to go ahead and get thyroid study done. If you have any more query kindly ask back. Thank you.
