Could Tingling, Burning, Numbing Sensations On Scalp Be Indications Of Anxiety?

I think my anxiety is acting up again, but I m not so sure, I thought I had it under control in my twenties, now 51, I m always getting tingling, burning, numbing sensations on the top of my scalp and I m always rubbing there and my eyes. Complicating that is I have high sugar-blood levels. I don t know much about dementia but I m fearful of that too

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The tingling, burning, numbness may be due to changes in the nerves in the area.
This is called neuropathy and refers to abnormal function of the nerves.

There are different possible cause such as : (a)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(b)diabetes- since your have high blood sugar then this may be the cause
(c)trauma in the area
(d)liver or kidney disease
(e)exposure to toxins
(f)side effect of medication
(g)some hormonal or autoimmune causes

Your anxiety may not be the cause of your symptoms
You should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment. There are medications that can help.

Blood tests may be needed.

I hope this helps
