Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Smoking meth gives a false sense of well being for sometime. As you told, you enjoyed this experience for a week followed by sudden abstinence after a week. If the drug is not available to the body, it experiences various withdrawal discomforts like mood swings, irritability, excessive sleep,
restlessness, decreased energy, teeth grinding,
night sweats, sadness of mood and anxiety and panic attacks.
During panic attack, the person experiences sudden short-term episodes of extreme anxiety characterized with chest pain, breathlessness,
increased heart rate, pounding heart, dryness of throat and mouth dizziness and headache etcetera followed by anticipatory anxiety of having similar attack of anxiety anytime in future.
Apparently, you are suffering from anxiety which had set in due to sudden withdrawal from
methamphetamine. You should avoid alcohol, nicotine and caffeine (as these substances further increase the anxiety disorder). You must
consult a psychiatrist in your locality at the earliest who may prescribe you some medicines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Alok Sinha
