Could The Cheek Bit While Eating Be Infected As It Is Worsening ?

I was eating a pretzel and bit my cheek very hard. That was like 7 days ago and it seems to just be getting worse. Could it possibly be infected? It's red and it's very difficult to eat because it burns. Also the gland under my jaw (on the same side as my cheek) is tender and slightly swollen. Could they be related?

thanks for your query,
i have gone through your question,
the pain in the cheek could be because of the ulcer secondary to trauma, this area will be constantly getting exposed to trauma again so be careful not to bite and you can take topical analgesic and anesthetic like anabel gel or mucopain gel....the swelling and tenderness below the jaw could be because of the inflamed lymphnode secondary to the ulcer...take a pain killer like flexon thrice daily for 3 days...and consult your dentist to check is there any sharp tooth that is causing trauma..
i hope my answer will help you..
with regards
