Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could The Bleeding In Rectum And Nose Be A Matter Of Concern?
I am female, 17, 5 4 and 103 pounds. Ive noticed faint speckled bleeding from my rectum twice this week including today. About an hour ago, my nose started bleeding lightly and stopped almost immediately. I felt extremley faint and feverish afterwards. Should I be worried?
You may be suffering from haemorrhoids or fissure in and with epistaxis.
Nose bleed may be due to rupture of blood vessels due to hypertension or trauma due to nasal pricking or due to thrombocytopenia or polyps etc. Eat a high fibre diet and do regular exercise.
Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Apply pressure if epistaxis is severe. Nasivion normal saline sprays twice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
