Hi , 6 months back, during a medical test my ECG was taken which said that I have had a heart attack. But later i had all other test like blood test, echo, CT angiography all the test were negative. Can the ECG be wrong ? what may be the cause of such ECG ?

HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

ECG just captures the electrical activities in the heart. Abnormalities in ECG could be due to problem in heart , problems in the conduction of electrical impulses in the heart , problems in the chest or abnormalities in the concentration of Potassium , calcium , phosphorus or Magnesium levels in the blood .

So your abnormality in ECG could be due to any of the above or sometimes due to wrong interpretation by a Doctor .

If you could upload the ECG I can advise you whether it was abnormal or it was interpreted wrongly.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
