Could Taking Statins Cause Kidney Failure?

Yes, thank you, I am wondering about the relationship of cpk to creatinine levels and the EGFR likely to result from a high cpk. Is it wise to continue taking statins if the EFGR is only around 50 or 52 and cpk is 209? Could the statins (Crestor, in this case) cause kidney failure this way?

Thank you.
