Could Swollen Ankle Be Related To Mitral Valve Regurgitation?

My left ankle swells most days by evening. The doctor had me do an ultrasound, which came back negative. I m wondering it this could be related to my mitral valve regurgitation. No other symptoms. Kidneys are good. My thyroid meds were checked six months ago. Should I see a cardiologist or consider something else?

HI
Well come to HCM
Discussion:- such swelling of ankle could be due to cardiac disease, second it could be due to some arthritis or may be due to renal disease and all these needs to be differentiated
Treatment:- Try to keep the leg in elevated position, salt restriction, drink more water
Medication:- if this is the painful condition then it can be tried Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in day else no specific treatment needed but underlying cause need to be treated
Advise:- better to get done some test like routine blood test, Renal profile,
hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
