Could Swelling In Eyes Of A 5 Month Baby Be Due To Sleeping Position Problem?
My little girl who is 5.5 months old is now rolling over in her crib. Last night I think she slept on her tummy most of the night. This morning when she woke up her eyes were swollen. Her left eye was more swollen than the right...she slept on the left side of her head. I am assuming the puffiness is just from sleeping on her tummy? There is no redness or discharge from her eyes. Is this correct to assume?
Hi Welcome to healthcaremagic Yes.If it is due to position then it should reduce after 1-2 hours.Other possible causes could be .allergy .conjunctivitis .infection like preseptal orbital cellulitis But since there is no eye discharge and no rubbing these are low on cards Happy to help you Best regards
