Could Stopping Use Of Encorate Chorono 300 Mg And Tegrital Cr 300 Effect Health?

sir,I have been taking encorate chorono 300 mg and tegrital cr 300 for past 6 to 7 yrs.But now i have stopped taking the medicine without any doctors consult because from past 2 yrs i have not got any seizure. will there be any problem regarding this in future. Plz advice me.

Thanks for using health care magic.

Although stoppage of these medicine do not affect your health overall but if the etiology for your seizures is still present there may be recurrence of seizures so decision to stopping them without medical advise is not a good decision. Having said this it is classically recommended to continue anti seizure medication for at least three to five years after the occurrence of last seizure episode.
