Hello,

I can understand your concern. Your white blood cell count could be up due to presence of abscessed teeth that you have got removed just two days ago. However, the burning and stinging feeling on the side of the head cannot be related to either abscessed teeth or increased WBC count.

This feeling could be due to deficiency of Vitamin D or calcium to start with. Alternatively, it could be related to the nerve supplying the area. If there is dysfunction of the nerve or the nerve is damaged due to some disorder, then this kind of feeling can be present, though is is rare to have it on both the sides.

Thus, I would advise you to visit your physician and get Vitamin D level tested through blood test. If it is deficient, you can its supplements. In addition, you can start taking calcium supplements. After waiting for 15 days, if the condition does not improve, then you should see a neurologist or oral & maxillofacial surgeon.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
