Could Small White Patch Turning Red With Pinching Indicate Vitiligo?

Hi - I have a white patch which is small in size and with wooden light does show pigmentation loss. I am 40 years old and have no other spots. Rubbing or pinching this white spot it turns red. Is this vitiligo ? Should I worry for this to spread to my face, neck and hand ?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be vitiligo.
Usually, vitiligo has a very unpredictable course and most likely a single patch will remain stationary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
