Could Shooting Pain, Painful Lump With Fluid Around On Shin Bone Due To Fall Be Hematoma?

I tripped and fell hard on my left leg and sustained a very painful lump on my upper shin bone. The pain increased over a week or two. When I kneel on that spot the pain shoots through my leg like a burning knife and now there is fluid around the lump. The lump is very noticeable. The injury is about one inch below the knee. It is not the knee, it is on the shin bone. During the first 3 weeks of the injury there was only pain when I knelt on this spot, yesterday I noticed the lump was much bigger and can feel fluid around it. It could be water? or a hematoma?

hello
the swelling you have developed is most probably hematoma, so take rest and restrict the movements at the knee.
I will advise you to consult orthopaeditian and take his opinion.
I will advise you to apply hot compresses, so that swelling and pain decreases.
take care and get well soon.
