Hello,
Severe headache associated with nausea or vomiting is commonly indicative of migraine or
tension headache. Stay away from exposure to strong sunlight, strong smell like paint thinner, smoke and pollutants. Certain medications, hormonal changes, diet (untimely food, spicy, oily junk food, etc),
dehydration, low blood glucose, may also cause such symptoms.
Lack of good quality sleep,
indigestion, stressful lifestyle may trigger migraine. If you have
high blood pressure get clinically examined & treated. Keep your BP under control at all cost. Get clinically examined for migraine and eye check up done. In the meantime you can take antiemetics to manage any nausea and vomiting. You can also take Triptans, such as Sumatriptan to ease headache.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
