Could Round, Brown, Circular Patch On Bottom Of Foot Be Due To Walking In Boots?

I have a round brown circular patch on the bottom of my foot, about 1 cm in diameter. It appeared after walking in boots that hurt my foot, and that area felt similar to a blister, though no blister developed. It is three weeks later, and the brown patch remains. It is painless, and not raised, but will not go away. What should I do?

Hello,

I have gone through your query and would recommend you to apply topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected area once daily for 2-3 weeks. This will lighten the spot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
