Could Pulling, Painful Sensation In Forearm Mean Torn Or Ruptured Tendon?

Hi
How do I know if I have torn or ruptured a tendon in my forearm? I had lots bruising and it feels to have damaged either my Palmaris Longus or flexor carpi radialis. When I open my palm upwards and try extend arm I get a pulling (slightly painful) pulling sensation in my forearm.

Thanks
Kris

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello Kris,
Thank you for using healthcaremagic.
I read your question and understood your concern.
I think you should get a MRI examination to confirm this diagnosis.Usually it requires a great force to rupture a tendon.
