When I woke up this morning I was fine. While I was eating lunch I must have swallowed wrong because now it hurts to swallow. Can you bruise your esophagus? The pain is more so on my right side and it hurts to even swallow saliva. I am trying to drink very cold ice water to help. What should I do? I am a 33 year old female, 5 foot 9, 225 pounds, fairly healthy for the most part. No history of acid reflux or heart burn. Oh, if it helps I was eating a sub from Subway.
