Could Pain Medication Be The Cause For Anaemia?

I had medical review today and have low iron --- I have taken Norco 5/325 prn for a few months, since surgery in Novembe which did not heal correctly and has caused discomfort, never taking more than one pill in a 24 hour period and breaking that one in half. My body responds quickly to pain medication, I don t have unbearable pain often, and have taken half a tablet probably five or six times a week at the most. Is that enough, assuming my diet is adequate and it is, to cause anemia?
