Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
Yes, it can very well be an UTI(urinary infection). His symptoms suggest it.
Even if TURP(prostate surgery), has been done, a person can get UTI.
Now, tests to be done are :
1.get examined by an Urologist.
2. urine routine and culture.
3. blood routine,creatinine,RBS,LFT and PSA.
4. ultrasound scan-KUB, with residual urine.
He should start an antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin, after giving urine for testing.
