Could Lump On The Bone Behind Ear Be Related To Tooth Ache?

I had what felt like a small pimple forming on the bone behind my ear. I attempted to pop it with no success. I then noticed it was getting bigger and it felt as if I was getting a tooth ache. Yesterday, the lump behind my ear popped and it has been draining either pj's or clear liquid. Could that lump and the ache in my face be related?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain a small lump behind the ear which popped draining liquid can be a Hair follicle Infection (Folliculitis) leading to formation of pus filled abscess ..

It is not related to toothache as in case of tooth infection you will probably find an inflamed submandibular ( below jaw line) lymph nodes and Submental (below chin) lymph nodes although lymph nodes behind ear can be inflamed in a very few cases but it will not pop as happened in your case..

You should clean the lesion with betadine solution and apply TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT..

For toothache you should consult a dentist and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
