Could Light Vaginal Spotting Along With Abdominal Cramps Be Due To Pregnancy?

HI Doc, I was late for this cycle, my due date was 24th and till 29th i had no signs of periods or PMS sysmptoms which i normally do - such as - bloating, breast tenderness, etc. from about 12th onwards, I had been sick with a bad throat and occassional fever. when i got late on my period, i was super low on energy and was waking up every morning with a slight fever I hoped I was pregnant but all tests were negative. Then on 30th finally, I had some spotting. On 31st, again major weakness and some cramps with spotting, then after a lot of comforting with heat pad last night I got some flow, though very little. There is no possibility that this could be a pregnancy ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

Various other factors can influence the menstrual cycle and infections (anywhere in the body) are one of them. The recent infection you suffered from could have caused the irregularity, but if at all you had a bleed recently then pregnancy is ruled out.

Best wishes.
