Could Itching Of Scalp And Thinning Of Hair Be Due To Eczema?
Hello im a 16 year old African American girl. I have never put any harsh chemicals in my hair such as a relaxer or perm. I have been natural all my life and have taken very good care of my hair. Just recently as i was putting up my hair each night, my mother became quite concerned. She said that my hair appears to be thinning. I have always had thick healthy hair. And i wear it out or in a bun most times. But my scalp has been itching alot lately. I have had eczema since i was a child but i use a prescribed cream to keep it under control. She thinks that that might be the cause but i am not sure. I have not changed anything about my hair routine so i am starting to get worried. Please help?
Hi, There are few problems might give rise thinning of hair and itching. Some problems on scalp gives this problem like, Eczema, dermatitis, dandruff, fungal infection etc. Consult dermatologist and get this condition diagnosed properly. After diagnosis go for treatment accordingly. This will solve your problem. Rule out Anemia, hypothyroid as well. Ok and take care.
