Could High BP Be To Stress Of The Diagnosis Of Colon Cancer And Does It Rise During Chemo And Radiation?

I have never had high blood pressure however, I was diagnosed with colon cancer in January. Now, everytime they take my blood pressure it is very high. Like 165/95. Could that be related solely to the stress of the diagnosis and having all of the tests, etc? Should they be doing something about it at this point? Will chemo and radiation raise it further?
