Could Heavy Bleeding During Menstruation Be Due To Cervical Polyp?
started period but have had an irregular large amount of bleeding for the past 24 hours. I went to the hospital and received a premarin shot over 4 hours ago to help stop the bleeding. the bleeding has not slowed down. could this be a cervical polyp that burst or something else?
Cervical polyps can cause an irregularity in the menstrual cycle and increased bleeding, but we cannot narrow it down to only a polyp. Other conditions like uterine fibroids, endometriosis, hormonal imbalance, and many others can also cause this. Speak to your doctor about this.
Best wishes.
