Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain headache and
chest pain can occur after
dental extraction due to
anxiety and
stress that occurs to patients commonly following a dental extraction..
At times taking medicine on an empty stomach or without having any solid food can cause acidity in stomach and lead to chest pain as well..
But in a few rare instances in case the air from the machines used to drill the bone for extraction can lead to air entrapment behind the wisdom tooth region leading to air entrapment in the neck region and chest..
If can cause suffocation and if the air is entrapped around lungs (
PNEUMOTHORAX) and can cause chest pressure and lung collapse..
In case the air can be entrapped between the lungs causing
PNEUMO-MEDIASTENUM.
In very rare cases angina , cardiac arrests etc can be caused after dental extraction.
So chest pain should not be ignored if it is continuous and emergency room should be consulted for checkup and conformation.
Hope your query is solved..
