Could Headache Above Right Eye Be Sinus Migraine?

Ive been having bad headaches above my right eye. My eye looks a lil swollen and that side of my nose is stopped up. I also have quite a bit of drainage. Could this just be a sinus migraine? I went to the dr last week before the headaches started and he said I just had the crud, but no infection.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Looking at your description of congested nose and pain above the eye on that side it seems indeed possible for it to be a case of right frontal sinusitis, inflammation of the frontal sinus which is located in the forehead above the eye. An x-ray or even better sinus CT scan would confirm the diagnosis. Best initial management is decongestants and anti-histamines, at times antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
