Could Dizziness Be The Side Effect Of Amlodipine & Atenolol?
Hi, I am a 40 year female. I have been diagnosed to have high BP for last one month. It used to range between 140 to 150 over 90 to 100. The doctor prescribed Olmetrack 20 which I took for 15 to 20 days, but still the blood pressure range did not reduce much. Then the doctor prescribed Amlokind AT (amlodipine & atenolol) to be taken with olmetrack. Although the BP has come to normal levels now, I have been experiencing dizziness 2 to 3 times in a day. Please let me know if I am on the right drugs or should I consult another cardiologist.

Antihypertensive medications cause dizziness, headache as common side effect.I were to monitor the blood pressure closely and would add amlodipine (only) along with Olmetrack.Thus starting on a dual drug combination is preffered rather than the triple drug drug therapy as initial option.Hope this helps.
