Could Beetroot, Rocket Salad And Glass Of Wine Be Consumed While On Warfarin?
I am nearly 80 years old, a female, had mastectomy 12 years ago, and reoccurence 5 years ago (in situ) and now am ok. I also take citalopram for some years due to having had panic attacks since I was 28 years ago due a boat incident whilst on holiday abroad. I take warfarin as recently having been diagnosed with attrial fillibration. Could I eat beetroots, rocket salad and drink a glass of wine with my evening meal. I feel quite well.

better to avoid all these foods as they have the tendency to alter the coagulation properties and the bleeding time related to liver
also the metabolism of warfarin is also interfered.
the chances of clot formationin the heart(left atrium) is also high in atrial fibrillation
