Could Accidental Intake Of Phenyl Be A Matter Of Concern?
My wife drank half glass of phenyl .. after that she vomitted 2 -3 times and all came out. After that its almost 6 hours she is not felling any nausea or any other symptoms. She doesn t want to go to Doctor .. will it make any severe effect . Can we test anything at home
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. It is unfortunate to note that your wife drank phenyl. Since she has vomited and now not feeling anything like nausea, it means that stomach contents have already come out. There are no such tests which could be tested for this at home. She can take Tablet. Ranitidine to overcome gastric irritation. Let her take bland diet for a couple of days and drink good quantity of water/fluids to keep herself hydrated. In case she develops any unusual symptoms, you need to seek medical help immediately. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
