Could Prednisone Eye Drops Increase Blood Sugar Level?

Yes I am an insulin dependent type 2 diabetic - a month ago I had glaucoma surgery I am using predinosone eye drops 4 times a day My blood sugars keep increasing I know part of the problem is reduced walking though I am increasing it Does the predinisone raise blood sugar level - even when in eye drops

Hi.

Steroids in all forms can cause a rise in blood sugar levels, although the eye drops should cause only a mild rise in blood glucose levels and not a very significant rise.
