Hello Lorna,
Your symptoms do suggest a seasonal change or rather worsening of symptoms in the autumn/winter of rhinosinusitis/asthma.
Weed pollen allergy can cause this seasonal variation in symptoms occasionally requiring multiple courses of antibiotics.
Your current symptoms however do suggest a bacterial superinfection and a course of antibiotics such as azithromcin 250mg twice daily for 5 days and plenty of normal saline nasal washouts will help.
Best Wishes.
