Hi Kaberi

Thanks for your query.

Look P antacid plain cantains antacid only and P antacid IT contains itopride in addition to antacid. This itopride is a prokinetic agent which increases the tone of gastro-esophageal junction and prevent gastro-esophageal reflux disorders (GERD).

You need to describe your small intestine in more details so that i can give you proper explanation. Gastritis may be stress related. You should avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking if any. Take plenty of water per day atleast 3- 4 litre per day.

Usually after small bowel resection diarrhoea insted of constipation is seen due to bacterial overgrowth syndrome.

Please give the details of your operation for further advice from my side.

God bless you.
