Consistent Pain In Center Of Knee, Cracking Noise. Got Hit On Metal Chair. Will Pain Subside On Its Own?

Hello, I am a 21 year old female a few months ago while I was riding the NYC bus my right knee forcibly hit the back of the metal chair, for the past 2 months I have been having consistent pain on the center of my knee, sometimes it is unbearable. At times my knee make a creaking noise and makes walking up the stairs difficult. Am I dealing with something severe or will the pain subside on its own? Thank you.

Hi,
Due to hard hit on knee joit there might be having some injury to ligament, cartilage and Maniscus of knee joint giving you this problem.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Do patellar exercise regularly.
Avoid climbing upstairs for some time.
Apply analgesic cream locally.
Ok and take care.
