Cold, Nasal Blockage, Sore Throat. Is It Advisable To Drink Orange Juice?

I have a cold. Symptoms are blocked nasal passages, swallowing a lot of mucus, can't taste anything and a sore back. My throat is sore and feels very dry and stings when I swallow. I want to know if it advisable to drink orange juice? I am asking this because I was told it's bad to drink fruit juice when you have a sore throat, as the citric acid makes it worse. Is this true?
