Chronic Loose Stools, Dull Pain Under Ribs, Tiredness. Low WBC, Neutrophil Count. Treatment For Symptoms?
Hi, I have a low WBC of 2.23 and low neutrophil count of 1.01. I have loose stools for the past 2months now, where I used to be constipated. I have a dull pain just under my ribs to the middle. (A few weeks now). If I push on it it becomes a stabbing pain. I am going to repeat the blood test soon. Would just like some answers . I am tired all the time, and bruise easily. What can this be?

Greetings and thanks for your question. Low white blood cells and neutrophil counts, pain and easy bruising associated with tired are classical symptoms indicating an abnormal bone marrow function.
The clinical scenario is so classical of a bone marrow tumour or malignancy. This is the first thing to be excluded called a leukaemia.
In this case, its urgent for you to meet your hematologist for a complete blood count to be done, a bone marrow aspirate and consequent examinations and a chest x ray. Early diagnosis is capital in determining the treatment success and prognosis.
Its a matter of urgency for you to arrange to meet a hematologist. Hope you do so fast as I wish you the best of health.
