Child With Throat And Chest Infection, Vomiting. Suggest A Medicine?

Hi Doc. Urgent help required... My son is 5 yrs old and weighs 28 kgs... he has some infection in his throat and chest ... due to which he is not able to hold any food or medicine in. Can you please suggest a medicine and dosage that I can give him to hold his vomiting so that the medicine takes effect... Regards, Chandan

Hi Chandan
For vomitings you can give syrup ondansetron 5ml orally and after half hour you can try orally feeds and any prescribed medication. Give sips of oral rehydrating solutions sips by sips to prevent dehydration and consult your Pediatrician to detect the cause of vomitings and for the examination of your child and for the specific treatment.
