Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is good to know that the frequency of motion has come down. Any medication takes some time to act and will not give results according to your expectations. So I can only request you to have patience. Just ensure that your son does not get dehydrated by giving him adequate amount of liquids.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Continue the medication as advised by your Pediatrician.

The mainstay of treatment in diarrhea is to monitor and to maintain the hydration of the child.

Give sips of oral rehydration solutions like Pedialyte, coconut water, and lemon water to balance the losses of water and electrolytes in the loose stools and in vomiting.

Monitor his hydration by activity, urine output, skin turgor, and tongue moisture.

Probiotic like oral lactobacillus or saccharomyces and zinc can be added to his treatment after consulting your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any doubt please let me know.

Regards.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your child is having gastroenteritis which is mostly viral in nature and takes few days to subside.
Most important is to maintain hydration .
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool.,give coconut water.lemon water.curd, buttermilk, boiled potato, banana, rice porridge.
Give lactobaccilus for 2 to 3 days and zinc for 14 days after consulting your pediatrician.
Watch for any feature of dehydration like lethargy/decreased urine output/increased thirst and in case you observe any get him evaluated by doctor.

Wishing your baby god health.
God bless..
