Child With Fever. Recommended Crocin Or Meftal If Fever Is Not Controlled Within An Hour. Right Medication?

Hello,
My daughters been having fever for the past 4 days. Her paediatrician recommends crocin DS 6 ml and if the fever does not come down in an hour, then Meftal P 7.5 ml. She is 6 years old and weighs 20 kgs. As a kid crocin(120mg) did not bring her fevers down. She usually gets temperatures as high as 103 F. So even now I have to give her Meftal to bring her fever down. Is it alright?

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

The recommended dose of Paracetamol is 10mg/kg per dose. As you are just giving 120mg, its inadequate dose . Recommended dose Will be 200mg. Paracetamol is a very good antipyretic and will definitely lower the elevated body temperature if given in right dosage.
Dose alteration is all that is required

Take care
