Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is very common for children to have repeated upper respiratory tract infection at this age and it need not be asthma unless there is evident bronchoconstriction and a strong family history of asthma. I would refrain from giving anti-asthma medication till the condition is confirmed. Secondly, you have not mentioned the drug being adminisitered by the nebulizer.

I suggest that you give your son decongestant syrup and observe. It should give him relief.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.
